We at Whiskey Proposition are Bourbon and Whiskey enthusiasts who believe knowledge is the key to unlocking the true essence of whiskey.  Years of learning about whiskey have driven us to share our passion for this spirit with everyone!

 

We own an extensive whiskey collection that includes over 500 bottles, including 350+ bottles of bourbon, 70+ Rye whiskeys, 20+ Scotch whiskies and 70+ other types of whiskey. It continues to grow as we further our knowledge and visit many distilleries regularly.

We are certified Executive Bourbon Stewards with the Stave & Thief Society, have our Master of Arts Degrees and are “Chartered Master Bourbon Tasters” with Whiskey University. 

 

We take great pride, and enjoyment,  in continuously enriching our knowledge and education about all things whiskey and we welcome the opportunity to share it with you.

Andy Chirip

Andy is on the board of directors at Whiskey University and is the Northeast Regional Lead, covering NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, ME, NH, & PA. He is the lead instructor for the Maker’s Mark Classes, The Eastern US Craft Distilleries Class and is the co-writer for Marketing & You at Whiskey U.  He is a Lifetime Maker’s Mark Ambassador, a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Squire and holds many other bourbon/whiskey industry memberships. His passion for bourbon has grown and continues to develop his passion for sharing his knowledge with others.

 

Jenny Shotwell

Jenny is leading the Women & Whiskey Committee for Whiskey U and actively contributes to the Bourbon Women Organization. She is a Maker’s Mark Ambassador, A Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Squire and holds many other bourbon/whiskey industry memberships. Jenny’s passion for cooking & good food (and incredible palate) allows her to excel at forming fantastic food pairings for you to enjoy.

 

Andy and Jenny regularly deliver many classes on various topics of Bourbon and Whiskey to a diverse clientele.   They have also developed a specialty in food & cigar pairings.
